Sometimes the small projects can be the best! The transformation of this TINY master bathroom is amazing and I can't wait to show you all the deets!

The main feature of this bathroom makeover was the beautiful blue tile. I used the Habitat River Blue in matte and laid it in a herringbone pattern to create a beautiful

statement shower. Not only that, but since this was a tiny bathroom going to a bit bigger but still small space, we ran this tile along the back wall as well. This was the perfect design feature for a modern coastal vibe the client was looking for and it made this small space feel much larger.

An important design tip when working in any type of space is to make sure you have various elements to keep your eyes moving and visually interested. Here we used Carrara marble in the oversized niche and shower flooring to break up the blue tile and create a neutral accent.

For the modern take on this bathroom makeover I stuck with one finish for all the metal accent pieces. Since it was a smaller bathroom and there are already several beautiful visual patterns and colors going on with the tile, I decided it would balance the space to make all the finishes the same. I started with the shower fixtures, one of my favorites from Kholer and worked from there!

Now that you have seen all the beautiful details of this bathroom I need to show you the before! Not only did this master bathroom get a complete gut but we made some changes to the floor plan as well. To increase the size of the shower from what used to be unusable for this client, we took some of their closet in the room and made for a really nice size shower. We also bumped out the wall in order to create a bigger space for a larger vanity. This way the client now has counter space as well as a large USABLE shower! Check out the before pictures.

Even though this was a small project it makes a huge impact on the function of this couple's bathroom and on the overall look and cohesiveness of their entire home!

I hope you enjoyed this coastal bathroom remodel reveal! Till next time.
